Photo Blog – Bench Plaques

by Christina

While Sheldon finishes up his tour guiding assignment (it’s worth 25% of his mark – wish him luck!) and I attempt to navigate the hectic world of the NHS at Christmas, I’d like to draw your attention to one of my favourite Cemetery Club related things – bench plaques. I can’t go past a bench without looking at the dedication plaque to see if anything interesting, humorous or otherwise touching is written there. Here are a couple that I’ve photographed in recent years.

One day I would like a bench dedicated to me. It should say ‘for Christina, who really loved this garden.’

As long as it says that, I don’t really mind where it gets put. Somewhere pretty, or maybe by the sea.
